150+ of us march for peace,
against invasion of Iraq
Because many of us cannot
view video yet, SunMt will
run 2+ pages of every
Chronicle — first one with
stills; the rest with video.
Last Saturday, 150+ of us marched over 8 miles from Congressman
Radanovich’s office on Shaw Avenue to Congressman Dooley’s office
in downtown Fresno. We carried letters against further attacks on Iraq.
It was a solemn, joyful, unifying, sweaty dance. Much enthusiastic
honking greeted us along the way. A Radanovich rep accepted our
letter uptown; downtown nobody was at Dooley’s office even though
we called days in advance. Food not Bombs refreshed us downtown
and we sang “We Shall Overcome” before making our ways home.
Many of us were asking each other when the next action. Join us on
this one.
