Fresno wins peace action award

Because many of us cannot
view video yet, SunMt will
run 2+ pages of every
Chronicle — first one with
stills; the rest with video.
Peter Fenenbach shouts, “They’re
really cool” as he gives PeaceFresno
and Fresno Center for Nonviolence
the California Peace Action’s annual
award for outstanding local peace
action group. The honor was given
at the statewide group’s annual
meeting in Berkeley. See the
ceremony. Afterward, Elfie’s
showing of a large screen
docu-poem video “PeaceFresno
in Actions” brought the 100+ delegates
to their feet shouting and clapping.
The 11-minute video takes us
into Fresno area peace actions since
9-11. It is offered as a special marathon
fund raiser for SunMt’s multimedia
work: $40/individuals, unfunded
community groups; $80, all others.
Credit cards, purchase orders, OK.
